Summary
Faurecia is looking for software developers to join its new Microstrategy Center of Competence, within the Engineering & Program Management domain. This new team of application experts will work with business analysts and members of the various business groups to deliver dashboard and reporting solutions.
The Microstrategy Center of Competence will use evolving industry best-practices and facilitate the improvement of existing ways of working within the organization.
Accountability

Deliver BI dashboards and reports, approved by business leadership
Main Duties:

Work with architects and other developers to determine the best overall solution, from data sources, through to the user interface

Create technical specifications from provided functional specifications

Define / refine development standards
-
Develop and maintain the interface design plans for development

Implement report requirements in MicroStrategy (Developer and Web)

Object development, Object maintenance, Acceptance testing
-
User support in project/release development
-
Objects management and migration across environments (development, test, production)

Interface privileges and customization administration
-
Provide ad-hoc technical support to the user community
-
Provide feedback/reports on system usage and potential bottlenecks

Interview key members of user community for compliance with requirements

Communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager

Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure on-time completion

All related documentation, including technical specifications for interface and dashboard designs
Skills and Knowhow

Functional knowledge of building schema and report components in MicroStrategy Developer or similar tools

General knowledge and understanding of business rules and their applications within subject areas

Knowledge and experience in iterative/Agile development practices is an asset

Strong working relationships with subject area experts

Fluent in English (additional fluency in French also desired)
Ability to travel on occaision to visit requester sites
